【1】Ristorante Hoshi Umi — A Fine-Dining Experience You Can Enjoy With Your Dog
“Hoshi Umi” is a special restaurant created for guests who want to enjoy gourmet dining together with their dogs.
Following its renewal in March 2025, it has gained attention as a place where guests can savor a full course meal without being separated from their pets.
The chef crafts a Japanese-Western fusion course featuring seasonal vegetables from Kyoto-Tango and Miyazu-produced olive oil. Each dish showcases the fragrance of the season.
With just six counter seats (maximum eight) and only one group per evening, the quiet space allows you to relax in complete privacy—just like dining at home.
A dedicated dog-friendly menu is also available, designed with both flavor and nutrition in mind so that the whole family can enjoy the meal together.
The course includes approximately nine dishes, from appetizers to fish, meat, and dessert. The menu changes depending on ingredients available that day, offering a fresh experience on every visit.
During winter (Nov 8–Mar 20), guests can indulge in a luxurious crab course featuring Matsuba-gani, the region’s prized winter delicacy.
The restaurant also offers a carefully selected lineup of sake from the Kyoto Tango region, chosen to complement the flavors of each dish.
Nearby facilities such as Grande Doggy’s Resort Kyoto Amanohashidate and Natural Hot Springs & Private SPA Rurihama welcome dogs, making Hoshi Umi an ideal dining choice during your stay.
Complimentary shuttle service is available from the villas, so you can enjoy wine or sake without worry.

Special ingredients such as cheese from Tango Jersey Farm “Milk Kobo Sora” and Banshu Hyakujidori chicken elevate each dish.
